Rubber mats
With such an early Z, everything has to be just right. This also applies to the rubber mats, which we produced especially for it.

The Datsun 240Z with the VIN: HLS30-15652 was produced in December 1970 and purchased January the 14th 1971 by Mr Mickey Schlein, 8032 Louise Avenue, Nothridge CA 91324.
Mr Schlein was a Police Officer and there was a bullet hole on the passenger side floor board where the officers gun accidentally went off causing the hole.
Mr Mickey Schlein kept the car till March 8th 1996, after an ownership of 25 years the car was sold to Mr Eugene Brown, 2176 Bigelow Avenue, Simi Valley, CA 93065-2412.
After another 20 years, the car was sold in 2016 to Saro Fagerian.
At that point it had been partially disassembled and labelled to restore, but the seller decided to sell instead. Owning both HLS30-15652 and HLS30-15653, Sro decided to sell HLS30-15652. Somewhere in 2017 it was sold to Chris Visscher. It took till 2022 before the restoration was started.
The car was in great condition and with all the documentation from new. Starting with the brochure, the window sticker, the owner's manual, the warranty and service booklet, the bill of sale from 1996, the tax notifications till 2003 when the car was taken off the road. The aftermarket air-conditioning and the aftermarket black vinyl roof were deleted. This is one of the best documented cars we have seen.
The restoration process was easy because the car was very original. The decision was made to restore the car as it left the factory. The car is still on the date stamped steel wheels with the D-hubcaps. The matching engine (#20549) is still with the car and the body seemed to be in great condition, and in fact it was, but in the end when you do a proper restoration you always have to replace more sheet metal than you initially expected. It is absolutely impossible to see what sheet metal is replaced. We do our utmost to do this completely invisible and bring back every shape and spot weld.
All parts subject to wear and tear have been replaced, and the car is ready for a completely new life.
