My Datsun story began in the late 1970s. I had many Matchbox cars, and my favourite was a purple Datsun 260z. It gave me the real Zzzap feeling, I remember it well. However, this was my only connection to the Z, because we couldn't see real cars here in Budapest because my home country at that time was part of the Eastern Bloc. We were cut off from Western car culture.

As a technically inclined child, I spent a lot of time converting everything that ran on fuel. Cars, motorcycles and everything else. I bravely entered the trade based on self-study and later with the help of trade books and consultation with mechanics. At the end of my youth, I chose industrial design as my path and graduated as a professional graphic designer from the “University of Art and Design Budapest,” where I had the opportunity to improve and develop my skills by working on very exciting projects. After my studies I started working as an industrial designer and graphic designer, my main profile was packaging design. So a few years later I set up an offset printing company. I was the owner and manager and also followed my graphic design career. For almost 15 years I worked as a graphic designer, industrial graphic designer and industrial packaging designer. I designed many boxes, bottles and labels for cosmetics, food and chemical products, and of course many prospects, leaflets and brochures. Sometimes I also make my own designs, emblems, logos, etc. I contacted many printing companies.

By the late 1990s, the borders opened up, and the resulting boom brought us tremendous opportunities.
In the summer of 2006, I was sitting in the office thinking about my upcoming birthday. I decided to surprise myself with an exciting car. Soon I found a 260z on a German internet site that reminded me of my youth. After thinking about it for 5–10 minutes, I bought the car. In retrospect, I think I made the typical mistake of buying a beautiful car without knowing the fact that later became clear to me: almost every European Datsun is a pile of rust in a nice, shiny body. I had two ways to solve this problem: leave it or rebuild it. Fortunately, I chose the second option, and then my Datsun story began. For two years I built my first Datsun and after putting all my passion and energy into it, I had finished a beautiful car that is now in S30.world The Museum. I put so much energy into working on my first car and in return I gained a lot of knowledge that it made sense to continue building 240–280 cars and started my restoration company.

I think the S30’s are the best, most beautiful and fun cars of the early 1970s. I really fell in love with them. By continuing to develop and improve my knowledge year after year, I have now built a pure retro garage together with my passionate colleagues. We have already restored more than 50 cars and saved them for the future. In 2019, I joined forces with Chris Visscher from the Netherlands. Together we founded S30.world.
In S30.world we bring together all the knowledge we have to create and recreate some of the world's best S30s. Another goal of S30.world is to provide S30 owners with parts that were unavailable for decades.

We love what we do Welcome to S30.world

It’s based in Utrecht and Budapest. In Utrecht we are only 30 minutes from Amsterdam Airport. There we have our showroom, parts storage and project car storage. In our showroom you will find of course restored S30’s but also several first paint Datsun 240Z’s. In Budapest the bodywork, most of the restoration and assembly takes place. Some components like engines and upholstery are mostly done in The Netherlands.
